Question: Do plants need soil to grow?
1.soil
2.sand
3.manure

Hypothesis:I think the plant which has soil will grow because it’s use to it unlike the plant that has sand which is ment to be used in beaches for seaweed and sandcastles. Now i also think that manure will grow much faster than the plant which has soil because it’s job is to make plants grow and keep it healthy.

Method:

1.Get 3 container or pots.

2.Then put sand in 1 container soil in 1 and manure in the other.

3.After that make holes at the bottom of the container or pot soif you water it won’t flood.

4.now put your plant in.

5.Water it about 125mls a day.

6.Wait for 5 days or so.

7.Look at your results.

*My results were the manure plant grew the tallest then the soil and lastly the plant which has sand which has grown a bit.(so my hypothesis was right apart from the sand bit)

*Now “if you want to and if the plant is not dead” (PLANT IT)11

*So the anwser to my question was plants just don’t need soil to grow it can also grow by manure.

i think the (villian) is oil spill and the (victim) is bar tailed godwit because the bar tailed godwits diet is fish, worms and seeds. So i believe that when the fish are swimming in the water they get covered by  the oil spill and the bar tailed godwit goes and eats it and it gets sick and dies. The bar tailed godwit is located in Alaska and New Zealand.

I believe this is the answer for M.U.M.

I placed my two thermometers under the bright sun.Thermometer one and thermometer two were at the same temperature. They were both at 38′c, I was amazed because i put them far apart. After putting the jar over thermometer one, the temparatures started to change.Thermometer one had the higher temparature i had thought that thermometer two would have the higher temparature .

Thermometer one had the higher temparature because the heat was trapped inside the jar and could not escape. The glass jar, in my oponion was acting as a barrier, like the O-Zone layer. The highest temparature that thermometer reached was 43′c and the highest temparature that thermometer two reached was 41′c.Sunlight passes through Earth’s atmosphere and also warms the Earth’s surface. The average difference between thermometer one and thermometer two was between 2′c and 4′c.

I went every 10 minutes to check both the thermometer’s, and each time I found the temparatures have changed.
